Keynote Speaker at Montréal National Scientific Conference - Dr. Claudio Soares

Dr. Claudio Soares is a Full Professor and former Head of the Department of Psychiatry at Queen's University in Kinston, Ontario. He currently is the President of the Menopaused Society (formerly known as NAMS), and the Inaugural Director for the Centre for Psychedelic Health and Research at Povidence Care Hospital & Queen's University. Other roles include Executive Lead for the Canadian Biomarker Integration Network in Depression (CAN-BIND) and Regional Lead for Mental Health and Addictions, Ontario Health East.
Dr. Soares has been funded as principal investigator in 30+ trials and is the recipient of 3 NARSAD Awards and the 2019 NAMS Excellence Award in Research. He is a sought-after educator with more than 240 presentations at national and international meetings. He has more than 220 peer-reviewed publications in the area of mood disorders and women's mental health, including JAMA, Nature, American Journal of Psychiatry, JAMA psychiatry among others.
